Description

The Anbernic RG405M is a retro handheld emulation game console that runs on Android. It's design and shape allows for a case that be used on the front or back of the device, allowing the case to be used as a grip case or a protective case.

There are multiple models of this case. This is a slim case. Both can be used as a grip or reversed for protection. I also suggest lining the clips with a 0.5mm adhesive felt pad for worry free slip on and off.

  • Standard - A standard grip design
  • Ergo - A grip design that has a bit of an ergonomic touch to it
  • Ergo Max - Similar to the Ergo, but the sides protrude out just a little bit for those with bigger hands.
  • Split (See below)

I used PLA+, 0.2mm height, 15% infill, and 1 perimeter. I also tried variable layer lines on the curved areas and they came out great. You may notice the top clip will need a long support going up to it since it is a straight 90 degree bend. For those having issues printing this, I also created another option, the “Split” option.

For the split options, the top clip area is split off from the main body of the case for easier printing. In order to combine the two, I highly suggest sanding down the joining surfaces with something like 200-300 grit sandpaper to rough things up, then gluing with super glue. I used Loctite Professional as well as Gorilla Super Glue with much success.

If you feel that the case is too tight to your liking, I suggest scaling in all directions in a tiny amount (100.1 or 100.2, etc).

Check out my profile if you also have a Powkiddy RGB30 for similar cases. Happy gaming!
