Description

A bold, sculptural star-shaped planter with a dramatic twist and textured fuzzy skin finish. The organic, rough surface gives it a hand-crafted ceramic look that's hard to believe came off a 3D printer. Designed in Potforge Studio (potforge.com) - a browser-based parametric pot designer launching soon.

Part of the Potforge collection — see all 5 designs in my community post https://makerworld.com/en/community/post/1679744

DESIGN DETAILS

  • 5-point star cross-section with smooth inner corners and a gentle bulge modifier
  • Fuzzy skin contour creates a tactile, stone-like surface texture
  • The concave star shape creates beautiful shadow play throughout the day
  • Looks stunning with succulents, small trees, or trailing plants

PRINT SPECS

  • Dimensions: 201 × 206 × 100 mm (W × D × H)
  • Layer height: 0.20 mm
  • Wall loops: 2
  • Infill: 15%
  • Supports: None needed
  • Filament: Bambu PLA Matte - Ash Gray (any matte PLA works beautifully)
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm - Special: Fuzzy skin enabled on outer contour in Bambu Studio
  • Estimated print time: ~8 hours (depending on speed settings)

PRINT TIPS

  1. Use matte filament for the best results - the fuzzy skin texture combined with matte PLA creates an incredibly realistic stone/ceramic appearance.
  2. No supports required - the star shape is self-supporting with gentle overhangs.
  3. Scaling: You can scale this pot freely in your slicer. A 75% version makes a great succulent planter, and 125% works for larger houseplants.
  4. Bed adhesion: The star base provides plenty of contact area. Standard textured PEI plate works perfectly.
  5. This model has no drainage holes. If you want drainage, add holes manually in Bambu Studio using the cut tool, or wait for the Potforge Studio launch where drainage is built in.
