Rear Leg Splint for Small Dogs

This 3D-printable splint is designed to restrict mobility in the hind leg of small dogs recovering from minor injuries.

The model consists of two parts:

  1. Main Splint: The rigid structural support.
  2. TPU Sole (Tread): A base printed in flexible material (TPU) to provide grip and prevent slipping on smooth surfaces.

Assembly & Fitting:

  • Snap-fit: Both parts are designed to fit together perfectly. However, a drop of superglue is recommended for a permanent, secure bond.
  • Fastening: The splint can be easily secured using thin Velcro straps.
  • Pro-tip: When fitting, ensure the "hook" (rough) side of the Velcro points away from the dog's leg to prevent it from catching or pulling the fur.
