Bring a classic symbol of mystery and folklore to your 3D print collection with this Grim Reaper statue holding a scythe. The model captures the iconic hooded figure standing calmly on a decorative base, making it perfect as a desk ornament, shelf display, or Halloween themed decoration.

This design is 125 mm tall and has been carefully optimised to print cleanly on most printers while maintaining strong visual detail in the robe folds, mask, and scythe.

To suit different printers and user preferences, the project includes three different print versions, each available on its own build plate.

Detailed Version

The Detailed version provides the most visually accurate result with colour separation for the scythe, mask, robe details and base.

Best for:

• AMS / multi-colour printers
• Display pieces
• Maximum visual detail

Approximate print time: ~12.5 hours

Simplified Version

The Simplified version keeps the overall appearance of the statue while reducing colour changes and complexity.

Features:

• Black robe, hands and feet
• White mask
• Brown base

Best for:

• Faster multi-colour printing
• Reduced filament swaps
• Reliable prints with minimal tuning

Approximate print time: ~7 hours

Single Colour Version

The Single Colour version is designed for simple, fast printing without colour changes.

Best for:

• Single-extruder printers
• Quick prints
• Users who want to paint the model afterwards

Approximate print time: ~2.5 hours

Recommended layer height: 0.16 mm for optimal detail, 0.2mm layer height if you want quicker print times.

The model geometry has been designed to print cleanly with minimal overhangs and good bed stability.

Print Profiles Included

This project contains three build plates:

Plate 1 — Detailed Version (Multi-colour)
Plate 2 — Simplified Version (Reduced colour)
Plate 3 — Single Colour Version

Each plate is configured with tested settings to make printing straightforward.

Printing Tips

• PLA works best for fine detail and clean surfaces.
• A 0.4 mm nozzle with 0.16 mm layer height provides good  detail, 0.2mm will still give adequate detail with faster speed.
• Slower outer wall speeds can help preserve the robe texture.

Recommended Filaments

For best visual results:

• Black PLA for the robe
• White PLA for the mask and scythe blade
• Brown PLA for the base

Matte filaments can also produce a very nice statue-like finish.
