Description
FMS Futura 64mm Upgrade Pack
This Upgrade Pack for the FMS Futura 64mm EDF jet adds several practical improvements to increase durability and give you flexibility depending on your flying style.
The pack allows you to reinforce the front landing gear or switch to a belly landing setup. Simply print and install the parts you need.
Included Parts
- Front Gear Reinforcement – strengthens the nose gear mounting area
- Exhaust Reinforcement – adds durability to the exhaust section
- Servo Covers – protects exposed servos and improves the look
- Front Wheel Cover – clip-on cover for flying without the front wheel
Installation
Front Gear Reinforcement
Designed to strengthen the nose gear area.
You can glue it in place, or use longer screws so the reinforcement rotates together with the wheel.
Exhaust Reinforcement
This part is designed as a press-fit and normally does not require glue.
Servo Covers
Servo covers should be glued in place.
Clear tape also works well.
If you want extra strength, you can insert small pieces of toothpicks into the holes as reinforcement pins.
Front Wheel Cover
A simple clip-on cover used when flying without the front wheel (belly landing configuration).
Print Settings
- Tree supports only for the servo covers
- All other parts print without supports
- Standard PLA works well
Why I Made This
The idea was inspired by several existing community designs, but I redesigned everything from scratch because there were always small details that didn’t quite fit my needs.
