Description

My wife really enjoys the crawling hobby thanks to the Apex 18, but had complaints that it kept tipping back while climbing. Aside from adjusting her driving style, I figured I'd extend the rear without doing the "free stretch" mod, but rather with my own twist.

These can be printed flat and use the factory end link balls (pinch the ends of the links after installing ball to loosen them up). These are 3D printed links, not metal, meaning they do not share the same rigidity features that metal links do, so run them at your own risk. These are very solid and flex muuuuuuuch less than the stock plastic links. I was able to run them without a driveshaft extension, but as you lower the CoG, the driveshaft begins to hit the body mount tab on the chassis so I designed a driveshaft extension (or use others found online) to push the shaft out a bit to eliminate that problem (may require slight sanding to ease installation).

I printed them at 3 walls, 0.20 layer height, and 25% gyroid infill (you may find different print settings to be more beneficial, these worked for me). I recommend PETG at a minimum, best middle ground is PETG-CF, and if you're able to, Nylon CF and properly anneal it after printing.

As already stated, these are solely intended to stretch the rear, NOT TO GAIN EXTRA CLEARANCE.
