Key Features:
- Built-in Tolerance: I added an automatic 2mm clearance to the width and length. Just enter your post's actual measurements, and the cap will fit comfortably without any sanding.
- The "Support-Free" Mechanism: The inner roof is controlled by the roof_angle parameter. This allows the printer to bridge or overhang the internal structure without needing any support material. It saves filament and avoids a messy cleanup inside the cap.
- Custom Rim: You can adjust the rim_height to change the look and depth of the cap.
How to use the Roof Angle: The default is set to a safe angle (e.g., 35-45°). If your printer handles overhangs well, you can keep it low. If you want a taller, steeper cap, just increase the value. The geometry is designed to always stay within printable limits.
Recommended Settings:
- Material: Use ASA or PETG for outdoor durability.
- Wall Loops: 3-4 for a solid feel.
