___________________________________________________________________________

This custom PORSCHE SERVICE -style lightbox is a fully 3D printed, double-sided wall sign designed to hang from a faux black pipe bracket with chain — all printed, no metal required.

The entire setup (pipe, brackets, chain, and lightbox housing) is 3D printed. The only hardware needed is your own LED strip kit. The example shown uses a wireless battery-powered LED strip with remote.

I use these LED lights linked here and you can link them to an app on your phone.  https://a.co/d/057lMkKx

***I have included optional plates with holes for wiring. Print the optional Body and optional Pipe(once) if you intend to use wired LED lights.

Having issues getting that first layer to flow and stick good? Follow these steps, it helps! ***If using an enclosed printer, be sure to remove the lid and leave door open to avoid heat creep***

If using multiple brands/types of filament, you will need to save each as a Custom Filament setting. Otherwise the settings will change when your colors switch.

Chris, I'm writing this in Dutch and it will be translated by makerworld. I've had a lot of setbacks trying to print even one plate of the Porsche logo. I don't know how it can happen and I've tried it on various printers, but for some strange reason, it couldn't load the standard black PLA and didn't pick it up in the print head. I also had a time when it didn't see black and I started printing with red, which went well, but then the logo was incorrect because black became red. Finally, when it didn't want to load black, I swapped PLA black for PLA Matte Black and then it worked... No idea where the fault lies, but I'm super happy with the end result... thanks for this beautiful design

That sounds like you are having some issues getting your mapping right on your AMS and filaments. The model only tells it which color to pull. You have to map the colors to your AMS units.

The special thing is that I used the exact same colors (Bambu numbers) as you in your design. and yet... but it's successful now

Just fantastic- the only issue I had was that matte doesn't bond well with other PLA sometimes. Have printed 3 in ivory PLA and given away. 100%

I just updated this file to include a bonding/diffusion layer on layer 5. It helps out with this situation. You might give it a try again if you decide to prin tmore.
