Description
Replacement base for the DEWALT DWC 600 Router with Fixed Base.
The base is designed for routing round workpieces with diameters from 21.0 mm to 71.0 mm (the base scale is correct for an 8 mm diameter router bit).
The base is positioned upside down on the printer bed for optimal printing. A support is included for a smoother surface in the washer groove.
The locking insert handle is knurled for easy insert locking.
The runner insert is designed with integrated support for the bottom of the nut hole. There is no need to activate the support in the slicer. The pin hole in the runner insert is machined for a 2.9 mm diameter pin and has a depth of 9.0 mm.
All holes are precisely aligned and designed to hold fasteners after assembly. However, I recommend gluing the pin into the runner insert and the washer into the locking handle.
Usage:
1. Mount the "5005" interchangeable base onto the router's fixed base;
2. Set the runner insert to the desired radius of the cut circle, "R," keeping two points in mind:
2.1 The engraving scale is measured from the center of the cut hole;
2.2 The pin diameter is irrelevant when calculating the radius, "R," using the following formula: R = L - D/2, where
R - is the radius of the cut circle;
L - is the distance on the scale (set at the center of the pin/marks located on the runner insert on both sides of the pin).
This model is designed for precision and durability. I'd be glad if this device helps you too! Enjoy!
