Barbell Collar for Weight Increments

The lightest barbell plates in gyms are often 2.5kg. For those following a linear progression program or looking for small weight increments (micro-adjustments), this jump is too big. Adding 2.5kg directly can compromise form; not adding it prevents progressive overload.

To solve this problem, I designed this 'Household Dumbbell Plate to Barbell Collar Adapter'.

Design Inspiration:
I happen to have a set of adjustable dumbbells at home with several 1.25kg and 0.5kg small plates. Since the large plates in the gym are too heavy, why not bring the small plates I have? This collar allows you to securely attach your household dumbbell weight plates to a standard Olympic barbell, enabling precise weight increments of 1.25kg or even 0.25kg.

Features:

1. Precise Micro-adjustments: Utilize existing small weight plates to easily achieve minute increments of 1.25kg, 0.5kg, making linear progression effortless.
2. Dual-Locking: One end securely locks onto the barbell, while the other end features a recessed groove.
3. Stable and Secure: Printed with 3 walls (PETG recommended).
4. Wide Compatibility: The inner diameter is designed for 50mm (standard Olympic barbell). The outer slot is suitable for most small-diameter weight plates from adjustable dumbbells on the market. Two designs are available for selection; if there's no card, the second, stronger option is preferred.
