Guardian Kitsune - Twist Hairpin

Hey there! :)

I'm sure you all know about the mythical Japanese fox with nine tails. Kitsune is one of the most famous spirits in Japanese folklore, that is known for its intelligence, power of shapeshifting, and long life. Kitsune characters are also very prominent in manga, anime, and games, and they could have either good or evil personas. They're also one of my favorite folklore characters of all time as well. :D

My idea for this hairpin was to really bring a Kitsune to life, as like a companion or a guardian that can sit on your hair and watch your back. :D So as a result, this hairpin is more detailed and sculptural than my other hairpins here, but I'm really glad of how it turned out. :)

Use Case:

This model is a French Twist hairpin, perfect for creating various hair updos, such as French twists or decorating hair buns! However, since this model particularly has a flat bottom, it will sit more beautifully on rounded and voluminous buns rather than flatter and more compact hairstyles.

Printing Suggestions:

• This profile comes with a hairpin of 16 cm. Don't downscale the model since it prohibits the two model parts from fitting together.
• Quality: Decrease the layer height to 0.16 or 0.12 mm.
• Strength: 3 wall loops, 10% infill.
• Speed: Lower the speed of outer wall printing to maximize the detail capture.
• Supports: This model could be printed without supports, but I suggest enabling support for a cleaner outer surface. (In this case, block the support generation in the cavity under the Kitsune body. It is already done for the print profile).
• Other: You could enable the outer brim generation for improving the adhesion to the print bed.

Assembly suggestions:

• Simply connect the pin & Kitsune. The tolerance is very tight, but you could use glue to strengthen the connection.
