Description

Darksteel Sword – a dark fantasy blade with a sharp, elegant design. It makes a great display piece, prop, or addition to a fantasy collection. Easy to print and perfect for anyone who likes dark-style weapons and fantasy aesthetics.
Sword length - 125 cm
Its length and proportions are most similar to a one-and-a-half-handed sword.
Material Used - Bambu Lab PLA-CF Black. To achieve the desired hardness and beautiful shiny-matte look.
Used print options:
- 0.2mm layer height
- 5 walls
- 15% Gyroid infill
- Special Tree Support setting for 0.2mm layer height to give flawless supports
The sword is made from 6 parts with dovetail cuts.
Each part is also modified in the slicer to have 100% infill in the dovetail area.
For decorative purposes, it has enough strength and can be printed in normal PLA. For cosplay purposes, the normal PLA will work too, and the parts will also need glueing. I used a hot glue to make this. Then the connections achieve stiffness and hardness, and the blade can be moved freely in the hands, without disconnecting or breaking the dovetails. In the files, I also added a full sword as one model so you can scale it to your needs, but you will need to cut it again by yourself.
