Description
Recreation of the classic Märklin 74620 straight truss bridge element designed for easy FDM 3D printing.
I tried to add as much detail as possible in the design.
- Compatible with H0 Märklin C-Track
- Separate walkboards alongside the track for easier printing and assembly
- Should be compatible with original Märklin Bridge Pillars based on measurements found online
- Bridge baseplate is printed vertically to achieve the best visual finish on the outer surfaces
Notes: This orientation means the layer lines run vertically when installed, which is not the optimal direction for structural strength. However, the low weight of H0 trains combined with the load distribution of the C-Track makes this a practical non-issue in normal use.
Only the side truss require to be glued after test-fit.
Minor imperfections in the truss structure might appear due to the large overhangs. If excessive, try adding a bit of support structure in the slicer.
