Description

This is a remix of the ergonomic middle connector for the GameSir X4 controller (https://makerworld.com/en/models/1548019-gamesir-x4-connector-ergonomic-grip?from=search#profileId-1625638) that turns the split controller into a vertical handheld setup. The model adds a custom phone cradle designed specifically for a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with the dbrand Ghost 2.0 case installed.

The phone holder is essentially a half-case style mount that lets the device slide in from the bottom. It’s positioned so the phone’s center of mass aligns closely with the controller’s center, making it feel balanced during gameplay. The mount is also angled about 10° for a more comfortable viewing angle.

I mainly designed this to play vertical games and emulators—especially Nintendo DSi and 3DS emulation—where having the screen above the controller feels much more natural.

This is the first iteration of the design. Future updates I’m considering include:
• A MagSafe mounting system (with the alignment tail) instead of the slide-in holder
• A modular design so the phone mount can be removed when using the connector with tablets or other devices
• Possibly an adjustable viewing angle

For now, this version focuses on stability, balance, and comfort for vertical gameplay.
