Description

As a user of the Reaper DAW, I wanted to use the KORG NanoKontrol2 to make tracks easier to control. Some people created very fancy overlays for the NanoKontrol2, but all of them needed cutting the openings, for buttons, sliders and knobs, by hand (or laser !!). As I did not find any 3D printable overlays, I decided to design my own.
I made 2 versions:

  • A blank one per channel, to print with PLA or PETG, in any colour you want, and printable on any 3D printer. You can label them by writing on them, or you can stick a (removable) label on them.
  • A multi-colour one per channel, containing embedded printed text as a label. Also printable with PLA and PETG, but you need a 3D printer with multi material capabilities.

To use them on the NanoKontrol2, you can place them on any channel by removing the knob and slider.
The overlays are printed with a layer height of 0.2 mm. The thickness is 2 layers to give the overlay some strength, but not too thick to become unusable.
In one of the pictures you see my application of the overlays: Mixing channels 1 to 7, and controlling the master on the last spot.
Happy printing and mixing!
