Description

Shoe Dryer Y Splitter – MaxxDry Heavy Duty / DryGuy Force Dry DX

This is a high-capacity intake arm designed specifically for the MaxxDry Heavy Duty and DryGuy Force Dry DX boot dryers. Engineered to maximize your drying efficiency, this model is the ultimate upgrade for families, allowing you to double your drying capacity for children’s boots, mittens, and gloves. Built to withstand constant heat and heavy use, it ensures that even the smallest outdoor gear is bone-dry and ready for the next adventure."

👨👩👧👦 Family-Friendly Efficiency: Optimized geometry to hold small children's shoes (EU sizes 19–35) and waterproof mittens securely, ensuring airflow reaches the deepest corners of the thumb and toe box.

📐 Two Versions for Every Setup

  • MONOLITH (One-piece): Printed as a single solid unit for maximum structural integrity. Requires a minimum 305 mm Z-height (validated on a 340x320x340 mm bed.
  • MODULAR (Two-piece): Designed for standard-sized printers (e.g., 256x256 mm). The joint is reinforced with a "solid wall" structure.
  • Left & Right: Both versions include mirrored files for both sides of the dryer.

🔧 Tolerance Tuning (The 32-Minute Test)

Since different filaments and printers have varying shrinkage rates, I have included a 32-minute test piece. Print this first to ensure a perfect "Heavy Duty" fit. The default clearance is set to 0.14 mm.

If the fit is too loose or too tight, adjust "X-Y Hole Compensation" in your Slicer:

  1. Tighten the fit: Use a negative value (e.g., -0.01 mm). This reduces the hole diameter for a tighter interference fit.
  2. Loosen the fit: Use a positive value (e.g., 0.01 mm).

Adjust in 0.01 mm increments until the joint requires firm pressure or light tapping to seat perfectly.

💡

  • Assembly: While the mechanical fit is designed to be solid, a drop of cyanoacrylate (super glue) on the pegs is recommended for a permanent, vibration-proof "Monolith-feel" assembly.

Designed and stress-tested for demanding conditions.
