Command Strip Curtain Clip – Stop Light Leaks (6g)
Print Profile(1)

Description
Blackout curtains only work if light can’t sneak in around the edges. Unfortunately, curtains often sit slightly away from the wall, letting light leak in from the sides.
I designed this simple wall-mounted clip to hold curtains flush against the wall and eliminate those light gaps.
The clip mounts using a MEDIUM- SIZED Command strip, so there’s no drilling and no wall damage, making it perfect for rentals or apartments. Just stick it to the wall and slide the curtain edge into the slot.
Despite using only ~6g of filament, this clip is surprisingly strong. Printed at 40% infill, it’s rigid enough to hold curtain tension and can even support light vertical loads. I had success printing this even at 10% infill, but the filament and time savings were negligible, so opted to just stick with the “stronger” version.
This version uses a smooth grip that works well with fabric. I’m also planning a future version with teeth for even stronger grip on slippery materials, or for vertical mounting or picture/paper holding capabilities.
