Description

AMS-HT Silica Gel Dryer / Regeneration Container

This accessory is designed for the Bambu Lab AMS-HT and allows you to dry and regenerate silica gel directly inside the AMS-HT.

 

Silica gel absorbs moisture from the air over time and gradually loses its effectiveness. To restore its drying capability, it needs to be heated so that the absorbed moisture can evaporate again.


This container provides a simple and clean way to regenerate silica gel using the AMS-HT drying function.

 

The housing features multiple ventilation holes with a diameter of approximately 1.8–2.0 mm. These openings allow good airflow during the drying process while preventing most silica gel beads from falling out.
If larger openings are desired, the infill density modifier can be adjusted in the slicer to slightly increase the hole size.

The design is optimized for common 2–4 mm silica gel beads.

To make handling easier, the container includes an internal grip handle, allowing the holder to be easily removed from the AMS-HT after the drying cycle is complete.

 

Drying profiles

To start the regeneration process you can use the PETG drying profile of the AMS-HT.

Because the AMS-HT supports higher temperatures, the ABS drying profile (80 °C) can also be used for faster regeneration.

Material recommendations depend on the selected drying profile:

 

If you use the PETG drying profile:
The container should ideally be printed from ABS rather than PETG to provide additional temperature safety.

 

 

If you use the ABS 80 °C drying profile:
It is recommended to print the container from higher temperature materials, such as:

fiber-reinforced ABS

PC

Nylon / PA

These materials provide better thermal stability during longer regeneration cycles.
