Turn your spent brass into custom automotive accessories. This precision-engineered insert presses into a standard 9mm Luger shell casing, allowing it to screw onto any standard Schrader valve stem (cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles).

Designed with a focus on functional product design and a minimalist aesthetic, these inserts provide a secure, threaded fit.

Design Features

  • Precision Fit: Optimized for the internal diameter of standard 9mm brass casings.
  • Schrader Compatibility: Deep, clean internal threads ensure a smooth fit on all standard tire valves.
  • Minimalist Profile: The insert remains hidden once installed, maintaining the authentic look of the brass.

Print Settings

For the best results and functional durability, use the following profile:

  • Material: PETG or ABS (recommended for UV and heat resistance on wheels).
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm or 0.2mm for maximum thread clarity.
  • Orientation: Print with the wide "base" facing down on the build plate.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Prep the Brass: Ensure your spent 9mm casings are clean and the interior is free of carbon buildup.
  2. Insert: Align the 3D-printed part with the open end of the casing.
  3. Add optional glue (CA Glue is best)
  4. Press: Firmly press the insert into the shell. If the fit is too tight, a small drop of CA glue can be used, though the taper is designed for a friction fit.
  5. Install: Screw your new custom caps onto your vehicle!

twist and push and you can do it by hand, a perfect fit that doesn’t need glue.

I love the way these turned out. I tried to print them using a .2mm nozzle and ABS but gave up after a few attempts. My nozzle kept clogging for some reason. I'm new to ABS so maybe it doesn't like printing with the .2mm. Switched to PETG and a .4mm nozzle and they came out perfect. Printing a bunch of these for friends and family. Thanks!
