Description

The ASRock RX 580 runs hot and loud because its undersized heatsink forces the stock fans to spin at "jet engine" speeds just to keep up.

Since replacing the heatsink isn't practical, I swapped the noisy stock shroud for two random 92mm Aliexpress fans, resulting lower temperatures and near silent operation even at 100% load!

Stock fans (w/ OC + UV): Max Temperature: 84°c - 48.2db

Custom Cooling (Same OC + UV): Max Temperature: 71°c - 28.4db

(Noise levels were measured using an uncalibrated app, so please treat these figures as relative comparison data rather than absolute values.)

I recommend printing this with PETG or better for heat resistance. However, since my PETG was poor quality, I tested it with PLA and two months later, it’s still holding up perfectly, so I guess PLA is a viable option too

Will update this with mounting instructions and fasteners list soon
