📖 Historical Notes

This figure depicts a fully armored knight from the late Gothic period, specifically the 1470s-1490s, the pinnacle of European plate armor design before the advent of full "Maximilian" style. The armor, often associated with German (Holy Roman Empire) workshops, is characterized by its elegant, ribbed and fluted surfaces, designed to deflect blows.
