Stonledge Wyvern [Print-in-place]

This cliff-dwelling dragon takes flight with ease, releasing its grip on the towering ledges it calls home and launching skyward with a single powerful beat of its wings. Wind rushes beneath its scales as it glides effortlessly above the peaks, ever watchful of the world below.

I’m incredibly excited to finally bring this model to you. 

This concept has been in the works for quite some time, and it marks only the third winged dragon I’ve ever designed—and the first fully print-in-place. I’m especially proud of the wing mechanism, which snaps securely into a dynamic flying pose after many rounds of testing to get it just right.

Wing Posing Tips:
I’ve included a GIF showing how the wings lock into position. When removing the print from the build plate, free the wings gently. To pose them upright, lift until they stop, then apply steady pressure to rock the wing over the small shoulder hump. Take it slow—once you learn how, you’re golden. I recommend 3 walls to ensure the wing system holds up beautifully over time.
