Description

Description

This is a reusable lid designed for the Rainbow Sweetened Condensed Milk can.

The original can comes with a single-use pull-tab metal lid, which is convenient for opening but not for storing leftovers. When the can is only partially used, it is often difficult to find a lid that fits well enough for short-term storage.

To make this easier, I designed a lid that fits the can neatly and securely.

Dimensions

  • Outer diameter: 82 mm
  • Inner diameter: 75 mm

I printed mine with a 0.4 mm nozzle using PETG, mainly because it can better tolerate cleaning with warm water. PLA should also work for normal use, as long as high temperatures are avoided.

This is a simple and practical kitchen accessory for anyone who does not use the whole can at once.

Print Settings

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Material: PETG recommended
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Supports: Not needed
  • Print orientation: Flat on the build plate

Notes

  • PETG is recommended if you want better heat resistance during cleaning.
  • PLA is also possible for everyday use, provided it is not exposed to hot water or high temperatures.
  • Designed for short-term storage after opening.
  • Please check the can size before printing, since dimensions may vary slightly depending on the region or production batch.

Why I Made This

After opening a can of Rainbow Sweetened Condensed Milk, I often found that I did not use it all at once. Since the original lid is not reusable, I needed a simple cover that actually fits the can. This design was made as a practical solution to that problem.
