During Chinese New Year, a relative saw this model on Douyin and thought it was too expensive, asking me to 3D print one, which led to this product. Someone else has also uploaded similar designs to this site, but without the folding mechanism.
You need to purchase slingshot bands with pouches; both round and flat ones will work.
You also need to prepare a round rod. I used two rods with a diameter of 15mm and lengths of 250mm and 300mm. The print profile also includes options for rods with diameters of 12, 14, and 16mm.
You can also use just one rod, in which case you won't need to print the front fold, rear fold, locking block, and 8-axis parts.
The power depends on the rod's length; for more power, prepare a longer rod.
When installing the elastic band, first insert it from the back into the hole for fixing the band, then insert the conical plug from the front. Hold the conical plug and pull the elastic band backward; the plug will be pulled into the hole by the band. Release the band, and it will be caught by the conical plug. After installation, the band should ideally protrude slightly, with both ends protruding equally.
