Haworth Zody Chair Armrest Tensioner

This is a replacement tensioner part for the armrest on the Hayworth Zody 1 office chair, for adjusting the forward/back position. You'll need a T20 torx bit.

This complements the tensioners for other adjustment orientations on https://www.printables.com/model/700039-haworth-zody-4d-arm-rest-tensioner-replacementupgr. 

The stiffness is ✨ customizable ✨. The default spring thickness of 3.5mm is the goldilocks value for me. It's around the “hard” stiffness on the printables.com tensioners above. You'd probably want to keep it at least 3mm.

The ones I've installed on my chair use Bambu PETG HF, which is likely a better choice than PLA.

‼️ Print with a 3 walls so that the spring arms do not have infills. Supports need to be enabled for the overhanging screw hole.

‼️ DO NOT torque the screws holding the tensioner too tightly to allow the part to move a little when the spring flexes. You can move the arm rest assembly back and forth to try it out before reassembling the other parts on top of it.
