This model reflects the burden that war places on women.
In wars, women and children often become victims.
But even when they survive, many are left behind — daughters, mothers and wives who must carry the weight of loss after their sons, fathers and husbands never return.
Shared on International Women’s Day as a reminder that the consequences of war are often carried on the shoulders of women.
