Description

Design your own basket or bag bottom for crochet, macramé, and other fiber projects! This oblong base is adjustable - choose base length and width, as well as the number of holes, their sizes, and distance from the edge. Print in any color and match your project perfect. There's also an optional setting to add holes for installing screw-in purse feet should you so choose.

Recommended for best print results:

Lower top surface speed helps a lot here. See settings in sample. You can iron the top surface as well, but I find reducing the speed works very well for these, no ironing necessary.

Print on a smooth plate to get a slick bottom surface. Samples printed in matte, silk, and wood PLA.

Choose the width (the shorter measurement), then the length to control how oblong the base is. The third setting controls the thickness or height of the base. Even very thin bases can be sturdy depending on your final print settings.

Hole diameter sets size of guide holes. 10 mm is a frequent measure, but you can go smaller or larger. Hole ring inset measures how far the holes are from the edge, while minimum hole spacing determines room between holes. Set this lower to get more holes.

If you want to add purse feet for a bag project, you can add holes here.
