Print-in-Place Barbell Clip (No Assembly Required)
Print Profile(1)

Description
This model is a print-in-place disc lock mechanism designed to clamp securely onto cylindrical objects. The entire mechanism prints as a single piece, so there is no assembly required. Just remove it from the build plate and it’s ready to use.
The internal locking discs and body are printed together. After printing, you may need to work the mechanism back and forth a few times to fully free the moving parts. Once loosened, the lock opens and closes smoothly while maintaining a firm grip.
Features
• Fully print-in-place design
• No assembly required
• Reinforced structure for improved strength
• Simple mechanical locking action
• Clean one-piece construction
Sizes Included
- 25 mm

Printing Notes
- Prints flat on the build plate
- No supports required
- If the mechanism feels tight initially, gently flex or cycle the lock several times to loosen it
- Works well in PLA, PETG, or ABS
Included Files
- STL files for printing
- STEP file included for anyone who wants to modify, remix, or adapt the design
Design Notes
This model was inspired by the functionality of mechanical disc-style locking clamps used on cylindrical objects. The geometry was redesigned so the entire mechanism can be printed in place, eliminating the need for assembly while improving overall durability.
