Description

I wanted to create a high cuality brush. Something really usable wich is not thrown away after worn out.
With this model you can have a cutomized climbing brush and you only need to reprint the brush head once it is gone.

I must say it was not easy to optimize de desing and the printing profile for the bristles. The first prototypes had thicker bristles and the performing was just OK. After comparing it with comercial brushes, I could realize about the importance of achieving the thinest bristles with the higest density.

I belive this is the best printable bristles with a 0.4mm nozzle.

I recommend to print the bursh head with PETG in order to get the best performance and lifetime. It also works for PLA, but problably you will need to replace the head more often.

The printing profile for the brush head might be slow, but keep it if to assure the best quality.

I'm looking forward to read your opinions and printing experience with the model.

Firm, practical brush with a smart design, I love knowing that as soon as it wears out, I just have to reprint a part and keep it working. I opted to print it entirely in PETG. The fit between the parts is firm and without play, very good finish. You should upload that cool topographic design from the photo!

this is pretty cool. what do you think is the best and neatest solution to taking the support off?

Thank you very much Hawk!! The best way to cut the bristle support is to place it vertically, just like it's printed, and make a single cut with a sharp blade. I wanted to upload a .gif showing it but it was heavy and the platform didn't accept it
