Description
INKBIRD IBS-TH3 Terrarium Mount
This mount was specially developed for use in the terrarium to position the INKBIRD IBS-TH3 safely and functionally. It is ideal for placing the device slightly elevated or attaching it to the terrarium wall.
Why this mount is important:
In a terrarium, precise monitoring of the microclimate is vital. This mount protects the device from lying directly in moist substrate, which can extend the sensor's lifespan. The integrated ventilation holes in the base ensure that air can continue to circulate freely and that temperature and humidity readings remain absolutely accurate.
Advantages:
- Secure hold: The INKBIRD sits securely but can be removed with a single movement for cleaning or battery replacement.
- Accurate readings: Prevents direct contact with wet soil or moss, while the bottom holes ensure optimal air supply.
- Flexible mounting: Can simply be placed on a surface or attached to the glass wall with aquarium-safe silicone/double-sided adhesive tape.
- Reptile-friendly: No sharp edges and a compact design that takes up little space.
Print settings:
- Material recommendation: Since it is often humid in the terrarium, I recommend PETG. It is water-resistant, food-safe, and withstands higher temperatures under heat lamps better than PLA.
- Infill: 15% (Gyroid is ideal for humid environments).
- Support: Not necessary (prints cleanly from the base).
- Perimeters: 3 for additional stability.
