The original clamp+press tool for the Bambu A1 now upgraded!
This is the Pro version of the original A1 clamp+press PTFE remover. Same hybrid clamp‑and‑plunger idea, just rebuilt to be sturdier, nicer to hold, and better for long‑term use. Drop it on the connector, press the plunger, tube pops free. Easy!
What’s new in the Pro version
- Thicker walls so it doesn’t flex or crack.
- Thumb indentation on the plunger for a more secure, natural grip.
- Spring‑ready design (0.6 × 8 × 20 mm) for a smoother, more satisfying plunger return.
- Snap‑fit detents that keep the plunger from ejecting when the spring pushes back.
- Longer clamp tooth so you can press the tool off the connector instead of pulling and risking a break.
The spring is optional — the tool works fine without it — but adding one definitely makes the action feel more “Pro.”

Assembly and Operation
IMPORTANT! Add a small dab of super glue to secure the thumb press to the plunger. Make sure the thumb press sits at a clean 90° angle while the glue sets. The easiest way to keep everything aligned is to press the thumb press onto the plunger while the plunger is inserted into the clamp body—the body naturally holds it straight as the glue cures.

To remove PTFE tubes, follow the same basic flow as the original tool, just with the upgraded parts:
- Slide the clamp body over the round PTFE port on the AMS Lite hub. Make sure the extended jaw is seated around the connector.
- Clamp the thumb press onto the PTFE tube. The plunger will line up automatically inside the clamp body.
- Press the plunger straight down and pull the PTFE tube out. If the metal retainer inside the hub has bitten hard into the tube, it may resist. A quick trick: push the PTFE tube inward slightly while wiggling, then pull again. This breaks the bite and makes removal much easier.
- Press the tool off using the extended jaw. No need to yank—just press forward and the tool pops free. Done.
