Logitech G RS Mclaren Wheel Addon - all printable!

Features:

  • Super Strong Wheel - no flex at all
  • Colored Mclaren Logo
  • Uses standard mounting points of G RS Wheel Hub
  • 14 hour print

What you need for assembly:

Some Backround:

When I found that @MarcelBichon and @flelaurin had created the individual parts to be able to build your own "RS Formula Wheel McLaren Racing Edition" at home, I was hooked!

Both designs have slight incompatibilities though, so it was not a natural fit from the beginning. The holes from @MarcelBichons plate didn't go through entirely, so you couln't affix the wheel rim to the plate any other way than by gluing it. Although the connection between the plate and the rim is very strong by itself, you then can't connect the three small outside M3 screws through the hub to the finished wheel, because they are too long / the holes into the wheel are not deep enough.

I then cut the original wheel rim from @flelaurin a bit, because it's not a 100% fit as of March 2026. You can also see it here, where it's cracked after assembly. The same happened for me, when I printed their model.

Changes I made to the original Models

I realigned the grips, added holes for screws and also doubled the strength of the main plate for more rigidity. I then added some additional supports (yes they are ugly), so that the print can finish in this stronger orientation and is printable on medium sized machines like the P1S or P2S.

The lower part is split, to have a plane face, which the wheel can stand on during printing. You can print the small rest of it afterwards and glue it on with 2-component glue. Afterwards the plate comes on and further connects the main part and the small extra.

If you have any questions, before printing, please leave me a comment here, or send me a pm.

This is a print for advanced users and you have to be 100% sure about what you are doing, to not waste any material. I would say my print profile is like 90% safe. I printed the wheel three times and the only failure I had was that I ran out of filament (hence the colour change in my finished print).

If you have any questions or if something is unclear, please ask before printing! I'm always happy to help you save time and filament.

Once you're done, I would absolutely love to see your results! Please share a photo of your printed model and leave a comment if everything worked out well.

Happy printing!
