🔧 Why this mold?
This 3D Printed hinged mold is designed to be universal: whether for casting resin, soap, wax, chocolate, or even composite materials, its robust design and practical closing system make it an ideal tool for makers, artisans, and DIY enthusiasts.
With an integrated hinge and a secure closure, it allows for the creation of cylindrical parts measuring 39 mm diameter × 105 mm height, while remaining easy to open, clean, and reuse.
🛠️ Technical specifications
- Two-part design with a 7.5 mm wall thickness for good strength.
- 4-knuckle hinge for smooth and durable opening/closing.
- Recommended materials: PLA+ or PETG for good mechanical and thermal resistance (up to ~80°C).
- Stainless steel pin for maximum durability.
🧪 Usage guide
- Clean the internal surfaces with isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply a release agent if necessary.
- Pour your material (resin, wax, chocolate, etc.) slowly to avoid bubbles.
- Allow to cure according to the material used.
- Gently open using the hinge to release the part.
⚠️ Usage precautions
- Maximum temperature: Do not exceed 80°C for PLA/PETG.
- Compatible materials: Avoid corrosive products.
- Safety: Always wear gloves and work in a well-ventilated area.
