Description
Model of Qin Shi Huang's armor from Record of Ragnarok.
This is a more DIY-ish project: the armor is “canonically oversized”, so one size fits all, but you will also need the following materials to glue the parts together and fit your specific body shape:
- EVA Foam (5-7mm) to glue the parts together
- Elastic bands (10-20mm) to make the armor wearable
- Your usual sanding tools and airbrush
- Hot glue
- Golden decorations (chains)
I used gold leafs for the golden effect, but standard gold paint works just as good.
First step: glue the parts together using EVA foam strips + hot glue
Glue the spikes from the inside
Repeat on the mirrored version
Now the difficult part: cut a sheet of foam and glue it to the back of both armor blocks
Lastly, glue the elastic band and make a loop on the armor:
Don't go too loose or too tight! Try it on first then adjust the length.
Optionally, you can add a latch on the front side to further stabilize the armor.
Now glue on the decorations and you're good to go!
