Spinning top - minimal design and quick assebly
Print Profile(6)

Description
A simple, minimalist spinning top design that assembles quickly and needs no supports or glue.
The top is made from a top and bottom half that are screwed together using a base screw. The launcher is placed over the top part, and the ripcord feeds in from the side, locking the spinning top in place so you’re free to move around and launch it from above.
I’ve included 3 battle disk options that can be placed between the top and bottom halves. Each disk has pegs to keep it firmly in place during battle. There is a spiky disk, one with hammers, and one with bumps. I also included the base STL file for the plain disk, so you can create and remix your own custom designs.
Specs
- Easily Spins for up to 1,5 minute on smooth surface
- Top size: 5 cm wide and 4 cm high
- A full set with launcher, ripcord, and 3 battle disks uses a little over 40 g of filament
- Print time for the full set is around 90 minutes
Update 2
I've added a second disk expansion print profile with 3 new disks to try out: an octacon, a pointy star, and an old school bike gear.
Update 1
I've updated all the spinning parts seam positions to random to make sure the seam weight is spread evenly.
