Description

Have you ever wanted a small but detailed model of a Diamond DA40 that can fit in your pocket?  Well then this is the print for you!

The Diamond DA40 family was introduced in 1997 as a sleek, modern trainer aircraft.  In 2010, the most advanced version of the DA40 was introduced: the DA40NG.  The NG model introduced several improvements to the aircraft, including winglets.  The biggest improvement of the DA40NG is its jet fuel burning diesel engine.  This new engine decreases the aircraft's fuel consumption to almost half of that of comparable trainer aircraft.  The DA40 has become one of the most popular aircraft of the 21st century, and the NG has become the industry leading diesel trainer.  This Pocket Planes model celebrates the success of the DA40 and a more fuel-efficient lead-free future for general aviation.

Handcrafted for its tiny scale, this mini Diamond DA40 model retains the iconic shape and details of the real aircraft without filling an entire shelf or using excessive filament.  The model demonstrates the DA40's iconic features, including its sleek sailplane-like design, winglets, large canopy and windows, and more!

With an approximately 3 inch (8cm) wingspan, this print is a perfect collectible or gift for an aviation fan!

NOTE: If you do not download the attached print profile, refer to the image above for recommended print orientation and supports.  Rotate about X to an absolute angle of -135.63 degrees, and add custom supports to the top of the canopy and the base of the tail boom.
