Description

Description:
This is a compact and powerful activated carbon filter that is very easy to refill.

Very few additional components are required.

The filter builds up good pressure with the be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM fan and reliably filters out all "interesting" odors.

Other 140mm fans will certainly work as well, but I have only tested it with the be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM. Perhaps don't buy the cheapest fan you find on AliExpress. The adapter is designed for a standard 125mm duct. If you have a 100mm duct, feel free to contact me and I will design one for you.

BOM:
- 4x M3 Screws 50mm
- 4x M3 Nuts
- 12x M5 Screws 30mm
- 12x M5 Nuts
- 1x 140mm PWM Fan (tested with be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM)
- 1x Wire mesh (the wire mesh should be finer than the size of the pellets ;) )
- Activated Carbon Pellets (3-4mm works just fine!)

Assembly
Assembly should be very intuitive. Simply place all the nuts into the recesses, and then screw in the screws from the other side.
The filter body and filter adapter are screwed together, with the 140mm fan inserted in between.

The filter body and filter lid are also screwed together.

The mesh goes into the slots provided at the bottom inside; it needs to be cut to size. It doesn't need to be cut perfectly, as the activated carbon will press it against the filter wall anyway. It's simply there to prevent the pellets from falling out and keep them inside the filter cavity.

When the activated carbon needs replacing, simply unscrew the lid and replace it. If you have a different fan that doesn't have a rubber seal, you can easily cut your own seal from foam rubber.

Print Settings:
-Layer Height: 0,24mm (Do NOT change)
-Infill: Gyroid, no less than 9%
- Walls: no less than 3
-Support: Only on printbed (The total Filter needs 0,64g supports)
-Material: Pla works (tested), but i would HIGHLY recommend PETG

Have fun, and post your finished Prints :)
