Description
This adapter allows Remington 597 magazines to be used in TUF-22 receivers and modified 10/22 platforms. Because the RCMP considers magazine conversions that are screwed in and do not have their own magazine release to be a modification of the magazine itself, making them prohibited in standard 10/22 rifles, this design instead works with TUF-22 receivers and modified 10/22 builds that accept the adapter.
This design avoids that issue by being intended for TUF-22 receivers and modified 10/22 builds that support this adapter configuration.
The adapter mounts directly to a Remington 597 magazine using 4 M3 screws of any kind, countersunk, socket head, or set screws. Adjust the height of the magazine as needed to achieve reliable feeding in your rifle. You will also need to file and fit the feed ramp so it matches your rifle’s chamber entrance for proper operation.
TUF-22 receiver cut dimensions are provided in the pictures for reference.
