DeLonghi Knob Repair - La Specialista Arte EC9155

This is a replacement shaft for the selector knobs on the DeLonghi La Specialista Arte (EC915x / EC9155) espresso machine. (Part #AS00006169)

The original factory shaft is a common failure point and often snaps internally, making the machine unusable. I designed a replacement model to not only repair these knobs, but increase strength and repairability. This model has rounded tabs to make installation and removal easier, while keeping the part secure and reduce the chance of a tab breaking. 

I tested this on a EC915x / EC9155, but it might work on other machines too. 

Print Recommendations:

• Print the “Knob Connector” piece at a 45° angle to increase part strength. (I have this setup for you in my print profile!)
  • This doesn't look pretty, but is the best way to print this. Any visual defects will not impact the function. 
• I recommend normal supports over tree supports for this print. I found quality was consistently better with this specific part. 
• PETG is recommended. While PLA might be fine… the machine can get warm internally and soften the parts. 

Installation Tips:

• To assemble, simply glue the shaft to the center slotted hole on the bottom of the knob connector.
• No glue is required anywhere else on the model, everything should snap in place!
• If you are replacing the Mode Selector Knob there is a metal ring on the bottom of the original knob you must transfer over. This is a directional ring that will slot into the slits at the bottom of the knob connector. This is what gives the knob it's set “modes”!

• Ensure you transfer (or replace) the rubber gasket that goes around the knob connector!
