Soldier on Patrol (Paratrooper during GWOT)

This model is a digital recreation inspired by an authentic combat camera photograph from the Global War on Terror. It depicts a paratrooper from the 82nd Airborne Division in a classic mid-2000s kit.

The model is natively scaled at 200mm to preserve the intricate details of the gear and rifle. While it is fully scalable, the larger default size ensures that delicate components remain robust during the printing and post-processing stages.

Print Settings & Optimization

I have included a fine-tuned print profile with this model. Through trial and error, I modified several default slicer settings to handle the geometry of the soldier’s equipment.

• Layer Height: If printing at default profile height, .20mm will retain detail quality.  If scaled down, I suggest lowering the layer height.
• Supports: Increased the Top Z Distance to help with removal, especially around the high-detail firearm components.
• Testing: Multiple iterations were printed at various scales; please note that downsizing the model will require increased precision during support removal.
