Description

This print profile is optimized for functional parts printed on a Bambu Lab P1S with 0.4 mm nozzle.

The model was printed using PETG to achieve a good balance between strength, layer adhesion and durability for workshop use.

The part replaces the broken dust extraction hose connector of the Makita DSL801 drywall sander.

The original connector on my machine broke, so I completely reverse engineered the complex curved pipe geometry in Fusion 360 and redesigned the connection.

Additionally, I added a locking mechanism so the vacuum hose of the Makita VCM4210M can now click into place securely.

The adapter is still compatible with:

  • standard vacuum hoses with rubber nozzle
  • push-on hose connections
  • friction-fit connections

Recommended settings:

  • Material: PETG
  • Walls: 3
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Printer: Bambu Lab P1S

This results in a strong and durable functional part suitable for workshop use.
