Description

Bracket clamps over any 3.25" diameter rear axle but was specifically designed for my Ford 8.8 that I have in my street rod that I am building.  When I removed all the leaf spring brackets and welded on my parallel 4 link suspension, I didn't realize that I had removed the mount for the rear brake hoses.  Print 2 of these and bolt them on each end of your axle.  Rotate them however works best for the hose and tighten.

Print this in ABS or PETG using my settings.  After printing, try to insert a rivet nut into one of the pad holes.  If it is too tight, measure the rivet nut and ream the hole with the closest bit, hopefully just a tad smaller.  In my case I used an 11/32" bit.  Next take the rivet nut tool and expand the rivet nut into the hole.  Don't go crazy, the print is pretty robust but you don't want to crack it.

Now place the two halves over the axle, insert a ¼" bolt with a washer under the head through each ear.  Slip a ¼" washer and thread a nyloc nut.  Tighten the assembly till it is snug.  If there is a slight gap on the ear faces you may want to put a washer between the parts or just leave the gap.  Do NOT over-tighten the bolt assembly.  Next, insert the bent tang of the hose mount into the hole without the rivet nut and then bolt the hose bracket on using a ¼-20 bolt.
