If you find these reusable filament straps useful, I would really appreciate a Boost. :)

Reusable Filament Straps made from PLA designed to keep filament coils securely in place.

These straps make it easy to transfer refill filament onto a spool, allowing you to reuse spools instead of needing a separate spool for every filament refill.

Unlike the original disposable plastic straps that come with many refill filaments, these can be used repeatedly and stay on the filament even during printing.

How it works

Preparing refill filament:

  1. Unpack the refill filament
  2. Attach the printed filament straps
  3. Remove the original disposable plastic straps
  4. Mount the filament onto a spool
  5. Unlock the printed straps

The straps can stay on the filament roll even while printing, including when used inside an AMS system.

Removing filament already mounted on a spool:

  1. Lock the filament straps
  2. Remove the spool with filament from the AMS
  3. Remove the spool from the filament refill
