Description

Build Plate Cleaner - Square, Plain and Ergonomic

This Build Plate Cleaner is designed to hold a piece of Microfiber cloth in place.

Together with some isopropanol, it can be used to remove dirt and grease deposits from the print bed.

Theoretically, a structured cleaning surface (the Drunken Monkey logo) should enhance the cleaning effect, but I have also included a flat version.

Several print profiles are available.

  • one using PETG as contact surface for the support (recommended)
  • one using PLA Support as contact surface for the support
  • one using the same material as contact surface for the support

Features:

  • Square cleaning surface for square Build Plates.
  • Narrow handle so that the cleaning surface can easily reach all areas of the printing bed
  • No overlapping of the microfiber cloth protects the threaded rods from accidental contact in enclosed printers.
  • Cutting Template for Microfiber cloth ensures a perfect fit.
  • Gridfinity storage bin for the Build Plate Cleaner.

Assembly:

  1. Glue the Handle in place

  2. cut a piece of Fabric using the  Template

  3. place the fabric centered on top of the cleaning surface

  4. slide the frame over the fabric

  5. push the frame down until every side locks in to place.

Disassembly:

  1. slide a blade in the gap between the body and the frame
  2. use the blade as a lever to push the frame away from the body
  3. remove the frame
