Description
Cajal-style Neuron Relief
This model is based on a hand drawing inspired by the famous neuronal illustrations of Santiago Ramón y Cajal. The goal was to recreate the characteristic branching structure of neurons as a clean, printable relief suitable for wall display, teaching models, or decorative prints.
The model consists of two elements: the neuron layer and the base plate. If you want to print them separately (for example in different colors or materials), you can easily do this in Bambu Studio:
Tip:
Use “Split → To Parts” to separate the model into the neuron structure and the background plate. This allows multi-color prints or different layer heights for better detail.
Printing suggestions
- Layer height: 0.10–0.20 mm
- Nozzle: 0.2 mm works best
- For best detail on the dendrites, enable Arachne wall generation
- A light colored filament for the neurons and a darker base often gives the nicest contrast.
Because the dendrites are quite fine, slower outer wall speeds can help preserve the delicate structure.
Have fun printing – and feel free to experiment with different color combinations!
