Description

Using rebar for electric fencing is cheap and effective, but exposed ends are a massive safety hazard for horses.

The problem with off-the-shelf plastic caps is that they rely on weak friction fits. They can't handle the irregular ribs and varying diameters of standard rebar, meaning they spin in the wind, degrade quickly, and horses easily figure out how to pop them off.

This design solves the retention issue by ditching the friction fit for a proper active mechanical lock. The core features flexible slotted jaws, and as you tighten the star knob, its tapered internal flaps forces those jaws to clamp down, delivering massive 360-degree pressure directly into the rebar’s ribs.

I have printed in ASA for it's highly UV and weather resistance. Once you torque it down, it secures the electric tape perfectly and is virtually impossible for an animal to pull off.

Please let me know if you can think of any improvement !
