Halo - Complete Chess Set

This project is a complete Halo themed chess set, designed and conceived as both a functional game and a display item for fans of the series

Project Content

The project includes all necessary elements to create a complete, modular, and portable chess set. The board and storage containers are remixes of this Stanger Things chess set by LittlePrint to change the theme to Halo

Chessboard

• Overall dimensions: 42 cm x 42 cm
• Edge height: 3 cm
• Chessboard base color: black in the original version (fully customizable in colors)
• On the side of the chessboard, there is the inscription “Halo UNSC” in grey on one side and “Halo Covenant” on the other
• The side inscription requires AMS / multicolor printing
• The chessboard is printed without integrated squares

⬛⬜ Chessboard Squares (printed separately)

The squares are designed and numbered to be printed separately and then fitted into the base, without the need for glue

They are divided into three types, clearly indicated in the project:

• Type 1 – Central Squares
• Type 2 – Edge Squares
  • Marked with number 2
  • Feature an arrow that must be oriented towards the edge of the chessboard to ensure proper interlocking
• Type 3 – Corner Squares
  • Marked with number 3
  • 4 pieces, one for each corner

All squares:

• are designed for dry fit
• do not require glue
• can optionally be glued to obtain a fixed chessboard
• without glue allow for a detachable and portable chessboard

 Square Colors

• The squares should be printed in two colors
• In the original version: black and gray
• In the project uploaded to MakerWorld:
  • the squares are already divided by color
  • the files are ready for printing, no modifications needed

 Important Note on Printing the Squares

When printing the squares, it is crucial to ensure the print bed is perfectly clean

• Thoroughly clean the bed before printing
• Ensure excellent bed adhesion
• Avoid dust, residues, or fingerprints

The squares are the most visible part of the chessboard, so good adhesion and a clean surface are essential for optimal aesthetic results

Included Containers

The project also includes dedicated containers, especially designed for those who want a detachable and easily transportable chessboard:

• Container for the squares
• Container for the chessboard
• Container for the characters

The containers allow for:

• neatly storing all components
• easily transporting the chessboard
• preventing loss of pieces

House of the Bad

• King → Prophet Truth

Important note on inserting the chessboard into the container

The chessboard is divided into four parts, and each part must be inserted into the container in the correct orientation
The container is designed with precise tolerances, so that the pieces fit perfectly

The boards must go into the container with the wall side down. For further instructions or question please refer to the original design here for reference images

Print Settings (IMPORTANT)

All characters have been designed and prepared with:

• low print speeds
• optimized settings to ensure maximum detail

It is strongly advised against making any modifications to the project
The project is optimized to be printed exactly as it is
I take no responsibility for printing problems resulting from modifications to the files or settings

Supports and Part Re-printing

• The characters are printed with supports
• Some pieces are small, thin, and delicate

• Patience and attention are required when removing supports. Pay special attention to the Warthogs gun and back pieces on the Phantom. Remove supports using tweezers.
