Description

Many CPAP hose holders and hooks are designed to hang over the top of a headboard or bed frame. That works well for flat, thin headboards — but if you have a thick wood headboard, sleigh bed, or curved frame, those simple hooks often don’t fit at all. This design solves that problem.

Instead of relying on a top hook, this side-mount clamp holder attaches securely to the side of a vertical headboard or bed frame, allowing you to neatly store both your CPAP hose and mask while keeping them easily accessible.

The clamp design uses up to 3 adjustable M20 screws to secure the mount firmly to the frame. In most situations 1–2 screws are sufficient, but the third screw provides additional stability for heavier loads or thicker materials.

Inside the clamp are protective contact pads (recommended to print in TPU) that help grip the surface and protect your furniture.

Once mounted, the front hook provides a convenient place to hang:

  • CPAP hose (up to 26mm wide fits - the average is around 21 to 24mm outer diameter for most tubes)
  • CPAP mask
  • tubing and accessories

This keeps your equipment off the floor, untangled, and easy to grab before bed.

Why This Design Is Better Than Most CPAP Hooks

Most CPAP hose holders rely on:

• Hooking over the top of the headboard
• Mounting to thin frames only
• Adhesive or weak clips

Those solutions fail when you have:

  • Thick wooden headboards
  • Curved sleigh beds
  • Upholstered frames
  • Decorative bed frames

This design works because it:

Clamps to the side instead of the top
✔ Fits thicker furniture
✔ Provides a strong mechanical grip
✔ Stores both hose and mask
✔ Can mount to many vertical surfaces

Multi-Purpose Uses (Not Just CPAP)

Because the clamp is strong and adjustable, it can be used for many other purposes around the house:

Bedroom

  • CPAP hose holder
  • CPAP mask holder
  • headphone hanger
  • glasses holder
  • charging cable holder

Bedside

  • hang reading glasses
  • small bag or pouch
  • sleep mask
  • watch or accessories

Workshop / Garage

  • hold extension cords
  • hold air hoses
  • hang gloves
  • tool holder

Office

  • headphone hanger
  • cable organizer
  • VR headset holder

The clamp design makes it easy to attach to:

  • bed frames
  • headboards
  • table legs
  • desk frames
  • shelving supports
  • chair backs
  • any vertical structure of similar size (up to 3" or 80mm)

Size / Fit

Current design fits frames approximately: 45 mm to 80mm (≈2 inches to over 3") wide

A future version will include longer screws to support frames down to ~24 mm (1 inch).

Assembly

  1. Insert an M20 screw into one of the three screw holes.
  2. Thread it through the clamp body.
  3. Optionally attach a printed grip pad to the screw.
  4. Tighten against the bed frame.

You can use:

  • 1 screw for light loads
  • 2 screws for normal use
  • 3 screws for maximum stability

For best grip, print the contact pads in TPU.

Print Profile

Recommended Settings

Layer Height 0.2 mm (you can also use 0.16 for screws and 0.28 for the mount) but due to size, 0.2 works well.

Walls / Perimeters 4–6

Top / Bottom Layers 5–6

Infill 25–35% (Gyroid or Grid recommended)

Material PLA / PETG / ABS

Supports Yes — minimal supports required. Design was intentionally shaped to reduce support usage.

Strength Recommendation

For maximum durability:

  • Use PETG or ABS
  • Increase walls to 5 perimeters
  • Increase infill to 35–40%

This makes the clamp extremely strong and capable of supporting significant weight.
