Anatolian Shepherd - Monitor Hugger

A follower recently reached out and asked me to create a 3D model inspired by their dog. Looking at the reference pictures they sent, I immediately recognized the distinct, majestic features of what I guessed to be an Anatolian Shepherd. I loved the idea and decided to bring this loyal guardian to life as a monitor hugger!

The Anatolian Shepherd is an ancient, rugged breed originating from Turkey. Known for their imposing size, intelligence, and fierce loyalty, they are natural flock guardians built for endurance and protection. This sculpture captures that vigilant and wild spirit, freezing the dog in a dramatic, howling pose that looks perfect perched on top of your screen.

Whether it's guarding your workstation during late-night gaming sessions or keeping you company while you work, this figure adds a lot of character to any desk setup.

Print Recommendations:

Because of the dynamic pose—specifically the hanging front legs and the curved belly that sits on the monitor—this model has some challenging overhangs.

• Standard Printing: If you are printing the model in one piece, it should be printed with a raft and tree/organic supports to ensure the legs and chin print successfully.
• Split Version (Easier Printing): For those who prefer to avoid heavy supports, I have also included a version of the model that is cut exactly in half. You can print the two flat inner sides directly on the build plate (requiring minimal to no supports) and simply glue the two halves together once finished.
• Material: Works great in standard PLA, but resin will give you the sharpest detail for the fur texture.
