This Asian hornet trap is designed to help reduce the presence of invasive hornets while protecting bees. Asian hornets are a serious threat to bee populations, and tools like this can help limit their impact in gardens, apiaries, and surrounding environments.

The trap uses a separate bait container placed inside the main box, allowing the scent to spread effectively while keeping the liquid contained and easy to replace.

Recommended bait mixture

For best results, use the following mixture in equal parts:

• 1/3 dark beer
• 1/3 white wine
• 1/3 grenadine or blackcurrant syrup

This mixture is widely used because it strongly attracts hornets while helping reduce attraction for bees.

Even if a bee accidentally enters the trap, the internal design allows it to find its way back out easily, while hornets generally cannot escape once inside.
